Catch report |
All 5 of us caught well, i had 15/16 fish, all mirrors and 1 common, my biggest was 29lb 10 oz, 27lb 7oz, 27lb, 24lb, 23 lb and countless around the 20lb mark, the smallest was the common at 5lb (must have been born in the lake), if you go to this lake, make sure you pack some lures as the pike sport can be lots of fun when you want a break from carping.

Tactics & baits |
At first most tactics worked (pva, stringers etc) but as the week wore on the method feeder with a couple of bits of maize or tiger nut as bait seemed to trick the bigger fish more often. the best results came from the back end of the island and to the left as you look at it from the road and during the night/early morning (the 40lb fish came from the left side of the island)... my best advice is to get some sleep during the day as you wont get much at night :)

pascalle was very friendly and catered for our every need, the fishing was superb, the biggest caught out of all of us was 40lb 10 oz with about 10 other 30's also (although not by me:(...
