Fishing 28.4.2007 to 5.5.2007.

We all arrived on a lovely fine day, Alan and Eric chose the mobile home end, Kevin and Steve the road bank and Daryl and me, John the end opposite mobile home.

Fish were showing all over so everything looked good. Daryl and I had to wait to fish as the grass had to be cut while the others set up and had caught fish before we set foot on the bank.
We eventually set up and threw some baits out and caught nothing so next day out went the boat put some canes out, put out baits and caught nothing again.
Watching the water we could see where the fish had moved some 160 yds away. So out went the bait boat and started catching fish. Daryl fishing on my right was not catching.
From finding the fish I was struggling to keep one rod in the water let alone three, so Daryl and I combined our efforts in my swim leaving one rod in his. At one stage we had three fish on fortunately using the help of a passing angler we landed all of them.

Daryl's swim produced maybe 5 fish. The other swims were producing fish but not quite as prolific.

We allowed friends fishing the great lake to fish our swim for a few hours during the day so we could get some food down us! They caught several so eased their blank in the great lake.

Daryl and me caught 110 carp, one 4lb tench and a 10lb Sturgeon. My biggest 39.5lb mirror and Daryl 37.5lb mirror PB. Only two 18lb commons landed.

All fish were caught on 24m nutty gonad boillies, over 18m boillies, hemp and trout pellets.

This was probably the best French trip I have had made better by a good mate Daryl, and the visiting anglers Tony, Barry and Mick and the lovely Sylvia and Stefan.

Sylvia a non fishing guest was given a turn in my swim and landed a 31lb mirror by her self (on video).
